The 8^th annual ISPORTS Boo Boo Awards (Biggest Loser in Sports)
The 8^th annual ISPORTS Boo Boo Awards (Biggest Loser in Sports) was held on Saturday 2^nd January, 2010 after a month and a half long session of voting on line at www.andrebaptiste.com and by calling in at i95.5fm during the day. This popular sports talk show which is hosted by Andre Errol Baptiste (The Fearless One) _ every Thursday and Saturday from 6.15pm -8pm on i95.5fm radio station attracted a large amount of interested voting, similar to previous years . When it was over at 7.45pm on that first Saturday in January, this year there were 6,732 people that voted in both mediums, an increase of 15% on last year. · The winner was for the second year running – Minister of Sport And Youth Affairs Gary Hunt –with over 35% of the votes, · In second position for the BOO BOO Award was again for also the second year in a row - Ashwin Creed of the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs- with 25% of the votes. · In third position was -Minister of Health, Jerry Narace –with 24 % of the votes. · In fourth postition, was - Arima Race Club President -Kama Maharaj - with 5% of the votes. o Followed by -Forbes Persaud- of cricket and Dave Bobb of the Ministry of Sports TIED with 2% each of the votes. In the end, there were three members of the public that won the draw that was made from the thousands of names that selected the Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs.
