STANFORD SUPER STAR 20/20 TEAM ANNOUNCED FOR US$5 MILLION MATCH IN NOVEMBER 2006

The 20-man Stanford 20/20 Super Star team to contest a US$5 million purse with South Africa later this year, was announced on Monday 14^th August 2006.

It includes West Indies vice-captain Ramnaresh Sarwan, whose unbeaten 49 from 40 balls helped Guyana beat Trinidad & Tobago by five wickets in the Stanford 20/20 final on Sunday.

West Indies openers Chris Gayle and Daren Ganga have also been included along with fast bowlers Pedro Collins and Jerome Taylor.

Kelbert Walters, William Perkins and Kieran Powell, three of the young outstanding players in the tournament, have also been named to train with the 20-man squad for experience.
